Vitamin D3 and coconut oil

Vitamin D3 Vida contains vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) from coconut oil from South East Asia. It contains no alcohol and is therefore also suitable for babies and children. Thanks to the practical dropper pipette, dosing is child’s play.

Vitamin D3 especially for toddlers and babies

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is a precursor of vitamin D, which is converted into physiologically active vitamin D in the body.

Vitamin D is produced in the skin with the help of sunlight. However, sunlight is often not sufficient for this.

In addition, good sun protection is particularly important for sensitive baby skin. However, the body’s own vitamin D can then no longer be produced. Vitamin D3 Baby may only be used under medical supervision.

The Federal Office of Public Health recommends 400 IU of vitamin D3 daily in the first year of life and 600 IU daily in the second and third year.

Origin of vitamin D

Our vitamin D3 is obtained in Germany from wool fat (lanolin). This is produced during the washing of sheep’s wool, is purified in several steps and converted into cholecalciferol (vitamin D3). The end product is vegetarian and BSE-free.
