What is natural cosmetics? – Only the best for your skin
Natural cosmetics – as natural as possible
Natural cosmetics are becoming increasingly popular – and for good reason. More and more people are paying attention to natural ingredients not only in their diet, but also in their skin care and want to avoid synthetic fragrances, preservatives and the like as far as possible. We at kingnature stand for natural vital substances and offer high-quality natural cosmetic products in addition to nutritional supplements. But what exactly are natural cosmetics? Natural cosmetics are characterisedby their natural ingredients. In contrast to conventional cosmetic products, which often contain synthetic fragrances, preservatives, emulsifiers, polyethylene glycol (PEG) and petrochemical substances, natural cosmetics use plant oils, essential oils, herbal extracts and other natural ingredients wherever possible. But what exactly does a product have to fulfil to be considered natural cosmetics? There are various criteria that must be met in order to carry the “natural cosmetics” label. These include, for example, the absence of synthetic colourants, preservatives and petrochemical ingredients. Natural cosmetic products must also be free from animal testing and produced sustainably. The absence of synthetic substances, parabens, paraffins etc. generally makes natural cosmetics not only gentler and kinder to the skin, but also more environmentally friendly than conventional cosmetics. Another difference between natural cosmetics and conventional cosmetics lies in the way they are produced. At kingnature, natural cosmetics are produced in small quantities and with a lot of manual labour, whereas conventional cosmetics are usually produced in large quantities and often by machine. Kingnature loves to produce natural cosmetics that are worthy of the name. It is important to us that our products contain as much nature as possible. We therefore use natural raw materials and substances as much as possible and whenever possible. Natural means from nature or occurring in nature. We put a lot of research and work into realising this goal. However, traces of “non-natural” substances, which are of course permitted in natural cosmetics, are sometimes necessary to preserve a product, for example. When selecting raw materials, we pay attention to high quality in order to achieve optimum care effectiveness. The natural cosmetics are also offered in sustainable packaging that is recyclable and therefore protects the environment. Overall, natural cosmetics are a healthier and more environmentally friendly alternative to conventional cosmetics, especially for problems such as sensitive skin or allergies. Our cosmetics are dermatologically tested, but unfortunately natural ingredients can also cause skin irritation or even allergic reactions, which is why you should always check the ingredients they contain very carefully if you are known to have intolerances or allergies.
Ingredients in natural cosmetics
Natural cosmetic products are valued for their gentle care effect . They contain ingredients such as plant extracts or oils that gently care for and nourish the skin. At kingnature, we use high-quality plant extracts such as aronia berries, artemisia leaf tips and grape seeds for our cosmetics. They also contain valuable oils such as apricot oil, mango butter, macadamia oil, babassu oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, argan oil and aloe vera. These are rich in nourishing, moisturising and soothing ingredients and can contribute to a healthy and radiant complexion when used regularly. Whenever possible, ingredients from organic cultivation are used, such as aloe vera, Artemisia annua or habanero (chilli). A product that contains only organic ingredients is difficult to realise. Natural cosmetics are not the same as organic quality, this is often confused.
Application of natural cosmetics: tips and tricks for an optimal care effect
The application of natural cosmetics is simple and uncomplicated. The products are applied sparingly to cleansed skin and gently massaged in, which improves the care effect. It is advisable to use the products regularly to achieve optimum results. At kingnature, the cosmetics have three different consistencies; we offer creams, lotions and hydrogels. Our creams (e.g. OPC 24 Day and Night Cream or Aronia Hand Cream) are the thickest and are particularly suitable for smaller areas of skin such as the face and hands. The lotions (e.g. Hydrating Skin Lotion) are somewhat “thinner” and can be applied to large areas of skin and massaged in. Both the creams and lotions have a balanced lipid content. As they are easily and quickly absorbed by the skin, the skin does not feel greasy or “sealed”, but the skin layers are optimally moisturised. Our water-based gels (hydrogels) have an even “thinner” viscosity; they are applied sparingly to smaller areas and massaged in well, which improves the moisturising effect. A thin film remains on the skin for hours, in which the active ingredients are trapped and are therefore available to the skin for longer. Examples are the Artemisia Gel or the Clear Skin Gel.
Our team of experts at kingnature is constantly refining and expanding our range to the best of its knowledge and belief and in close co-operation with doctors and scientists.
