Rice protein isolate
The term rice protein, which is contained in Pure Plant Protein, refers to a special protein isolate that is produced from natural rice in a special process. It contains around 80% pure protein of good biological value and all essential amino acids. The starting product is unhulled, brown wholemeal rice, which contains all the vitamins and minerals of the rice grain. The rice is first germinated and during the germination process the vitamin and protein content of the grain is multiplied. To obtain the rice protein, the starch is removed, but the rice protein obtained in this way is not yet the end product. Vegetable enzymes are used to ferment the proteins. The modification of foods through fermentation has a long tradition in human history, making them more nutritious and easier to digest. This experience is utilised in the production of rice protein. The proteins are fermented, which increases their biological value. Simple rice protein does not contain all the essential amino acids. Fermentation can increase the content of essential amino acids to 80%.
